Want to rant.

So my "flare" was probably not a flare. I tested positive for C Diff. This would be my second relapse of it. I have been trying to read all I can and I am going to try to bleach EVERYTHING I touch daily when I am almost done with the metronidazole (though some sources say the spores can be airborne and can't be destroyed with bleach). I planned on getting to nearly the end of the three weeks on this antibiotic and then ingesting massive amounts of probiotics to restore healthy gut flora. I have some Saccharomyces boulardii supplements and plan to try yogurts and other acidophilus supplements. I thought I had a good plan for finally getting rid of this, but when I mentioned yogurt to my doc, he said "that's no treatment for it, it won't help you." From what I have read, he is wrong. It just ticks me off how arrogant he sounded, when I have done my own research and know he is wrong.

Look into fecal transplantation. It has a high success rate for C-diff. I did it. It worked great!

I also had C-diff. I thought it was the stomach flu back in February. I went on Flagly and didn't feel better until one day after taking it. I have been taking Florastor and VSL #3 on dr. orders. He told me to take the florastor for at least 3 months. I am in another flare, but the symptoms are different so  I don't think it is c-diff again , but Dr. ordering flexible sigmoidoscopy next week to be sure.

Luckily I only had to do one dose of antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon.
