wow. This was a great post. I can relate to just about
everyone who posted right now. And am so grateful to have found this site and hear what has helped others. I enjoy running/walking outdoors, but have been unable to do so recentlly during/ near flares because the need for the bathroom. I've been out before and had to call my mom to come pick me up, because I was about
to have an accident. Other times I have had to walk very slow, to get to a bathroom...talking to myself, telling myself to be calm, breathing through clenched teeth, trying to squeeze my butt cheeks tight so as not to have an accident, while at the same time trying to look normal and not like a little kid who is about
to have an accident. It is one of the worst feelings waking outdoors about
to have an accident with no bathroom nearby. Has forced me to be at the gym more.
A few years ago I used to commute to school (college) about a 45-1hr drive. I believe I knew where the best and closest bathroom was off each freeway exit. Especially, the exit right by the school. I couldn't wait to get to school parking lot. Stopped at a Denny's diner. A few times I barely turned car off, or locked the door, because I went runnning in so fast.
-Oh I could go on and on about this topic as you can see. But I'll stop here. Oh wait. One more. One time I went running into a women restroom where the male janitor was cleaning; and basically shouted at him to please leave as I was running into a stahl already unziping my pants. Talk about embarassing.
Might try the suppositories some of you talked about.
