Day 4 and 5 were not great, got 30-50 mil in me for 30-45 min. Wasnt enough stool so was a little too liquidy. Had a lovely spasm today so that didnt help any. Getting frusterated but still feel it could be helping, just slowly. The doc in Sydney said this could take months to heal depending on how severe the inflammation is. Im doing day 6 tomorrow then taking the weekend off, my butt is sore. Does anyone elses get really sore the rest of the day after doing the infusions? I have a feeling I will do more than 10 infusions since I have pretty much only had one pretty good one. Doc says keep in at least 150 mil for 2 hours... havent achieved that yet :(
How is everyone else doing?
Don't worry about
"not getting enough." The first time, I got 20 mil (10 feces/10 water). I did three such treatments in three days.
The second time I did fecal transplantation, I got about
the same amount. I did only two treatments in one week.
Both times, fecal transplantation worked for me. The first time, I went into remission after the third treatment. However, I had to take antibiotics, and started flaring again. The second time, my poo gradually got better over two weeks, and I stopped getting mini flares. I'm still in remission. I did have to end up taking an antibiotic again...
I think it's more important for it to stay in for as long as possible. If the amount is small, then it's easier to hold it in.
