Being a former teacher and now working in accounting, I couldn't help but crunch the numbers regarding those who gave their answers in my first post, "They Can't Figure Us Out."

This is the first time I've ever been asked to participate in a survey of this type. (Almost 30 years with UC) Why don't all doctors today have patients take surveys of this kind regarding any chronic condition? Seems like it might uncover a fact that would help with recoveries. Or doesn't the medical community and big pharma want us to heal?

***looking at the first survey results, allergies, eczema, asthma, and arthritis (unless it's rheumatoid arthritis) are not considered autoimmune diseases. However, I do think allergies, eczema, and asthma are important to cover as they do have to do with the immune system. Joint pain and arthritis should be separately defined, as joint pain is an extraintestinal symptom of UC.
