NickiM23 - I'm so sorry to hear this. I have lost 3 jobs because of CD in 9 years. Its hard to find an employer that cares or understands when your not feeling good. On the other hand I can appreciate that as a business there best interest is not that of someone who is consistently missing or has missed large periods of time and or is at risk to miss future time even if that person cares about
what your going through. It can be very frustrating. Often if you are to miss a week or more of work the best way to cover yourself is to take a leave of absence at least here in Canada. In 2005 I was fired for missing 12 days in a year. The company had been very accommodating to me over a 3 year period including long absences in the first year of employment. However, on the third year they were bought out by a much larger company who must have looked at my attendance and been like this guy has to go. I did get Employment insurance despite being fired. So try and fight for that.
