that makes sense on one hand since IBD greatly affects more intelligent individuals of gogogo mentality; pilots being one of the most intelligent groups in the military and certainly gogogo.
on the other hand, it does not make sense in regards to the observation that lower pressures (elevation >6000') often make IBD symptoms reduce, while higher [lung?]pressures (scuba diving) make symptoms worse. being that most of these "diseases" are rooted in natural microbe imbalance from industrial chemicals(antibiotic effects), anything that affects the living environment of ones good/bad microbes affects their symptoms. there is a definite connection between, not just oxygenating the body/blood, but more importantly- removing CO2 from the body/blood, and reduced/eliminated symptoms. CO2 escapes the body much easier at elevation & lower pressure, hence less carbolic acid in body, and higher body pH.
I suppose it may be opposite in pilots since extreme elevations could be a detriment to even good hearty gut flora.
Other notes:
End for-profit US Diseasecare; it corrupts. It is all for economy/jobs/profit. It has no incentive to minimize the number of sick people- it just encourages more illness. Government is owned by business interests. Research healthcare systems around the world yourself and see where the US (sadly) ranks. CCFA, like so many other "non-profits", is a scam- they have been around for decades and have accomplished nothing except "create economy". Follow the money, their financials are on their website. Do you really think people at these kinds of organizations are going to give up good jobs, benefits, AND PENSIONS to a "cure"? Question everything- especially on the internet; and become your own expert. There are a lot of "people" out there now being paid by special interests to "post" disinformation.
We need free online health databases/questionaires for patients that track the demographic data of every "disease". All the answers are in the data- The People need to give themselves that power.
