Newbie, medication overload.

Background: 19 year old female, had first major flare in January 2011 - spent four weeks in hospital (on iv sterroirs, tpn, asocal, prednisone, imuran, others I can't remember... morning cocktail alone consisted of 21 poppers haha). Diagnosed in 2005 with proctitis, with very mild symptoms. In 2011 had two colonoscopies, first in january indicated lower colon inflammed, three weeks later admitted to hospital severe dehydration and blood loss, second scope showed severe inflammation of entire colon. Lost 25 pounds (already skinny to begin with, so not good), after month in hospital and complications such as discovering mono three weeks in (which interferred with remicade trial), I turned around COMPLETELY, out of nowhere, from having 30+ bloody BMs a day to a formed BM a day no blood (yay). Was maintained on prednisone tapered from 50mg to 0 in 6 months. Currently on Imuran and Asocal. No complications for 5 months.. until....

For past month have enlarged lymph node under my chin (family doc is a dink and told me nothing to worry about, said the same the week before I was admitted to hospital - only a flu he said). Because of this, I have been unfaithful taking my imuran - instead of 250 mg every day I take it every second day) I now discovered many bruises on my legs, and this morning and this evening had very bloody bowel movement (also on period so at first wasn't sure where the blood was coming from, but determinded it was the bowel for sure) enough blood to change water completely red - but my BM was still formed... before it was with diarrhea. Energy levels way down.

SOOOO, my specialist is on vacation, and family doctor will tell me to wait it out (that's if I can get in to see him) my question is.... Has anyone else experienced swollen lymph node under chin with imuran (if so, what next)? With a formed BM, does the runny blood mean it's coming from my lower colon again? and also, REMICADE... I want to get off of stupid imuran (it also makes my hair fall out), I am hoping to try Remicade I hear it works wonders.... Has anyone had positive/negative experiences with Remicade. Please help, I don't want to talk about this with my friends or family - they will get worried about me.

I made an apointment for the end of this month, the 28th. This past week everything started to go down, just hoping it doesn't get worse because I have no doctor to see until then.

Truee about the Remicade.. I've heard wonderful things about it. I guess I was just hoping for that miracle drug. I'm most worried about the lump in my neck. Blood in my BM doesn't scare me anymore. haha. Sad to say but true. Family doc said swollen lymph node could be from my acne acting up (another wonderful gift from the medication).

decided I'm going to try and take my medication faithfully until I see my doctor again. Blood in BM could be from missing a few days of imuran.

Swollen lymph nodes can mean many things (infections, allergies etc). When you went in and have it checked, did you have blood work done? Do you get frequent blood testing because of the Imuran? If yes and everything is fine, then don't worry about the lymph node, but if not - please go in and have a complete work up. I don't mean to scare you, but Imuran and 6mp can cause Lymphoma however, it's very rare.
