Mucus with Internal Hemmies ?

I have a quick question , Can Internal Hemmeroids cause mucus. I notice mucus in my stools without blood (specially after eating certain foods) but then when I go again and strain a bit , I see blood mixed with the mucus. Does that sound like internal hemmies? I dont have any pain whatsoever before during or after the stools.

Could be hemmis or UC.  Both can cause bright red blood however the visible mucus sounds more like UC.  You would have to get it checked out by your doctor to know for sure...

 

Thanks for replies guys. My GI seems to think that internal hemmies can cause mucus as well .

Another few things:

The color is mostly bright red. the color resembles fresh blood if i were to cut myself.

I dont have any urgency to go

Have only one bowl movement (early in the morning); Its mixed sometime fully formed , sometimes loose with mucus. Dont feel anything during the day. I am not on any special diet but trying to eat heatly , no liquor or caffine etc.

No real abdominal pains or cramps (feel minore discomfort once a while in the lower abdomen alternating betwen right and left)

Also can an absence of diarohea or constipation and one bowl movement a day signify UC ? Is urgency a common symptom ?

I had some infectious colitis about three months ago after an oversies trip. Could a non IBD colitis (something caused by pathogens, bacteria , parasites, virus etc) linger on for a few months that can cause inflammation in the colon or rectal area , is that possible ?
