I know I seem to resurrect the oldies....but they are goodies!

Plus we have many new "faces" aboard that I thought it would be fun to find out more about them! smilewinkgrin

So here goes:

What is the meaning behind your screen name???

I find it fascinating how people come up with names for themselves. It delves into a small part of their life and it gets them a chance to show us who they are.

Mine is so boring to be honest! I'm a red head and I was 34 when I joined.....that would be 7 years ago! Wow, time flies! lol

I LOVE calla lilies--I even have a tattoo of two of them on my foot. I think 22 is just a random number.

One of my good friends daughter had a flower tatted on her foot. She said it hurt like crazy! Did it hurt Sam?

No tattoo stories here, but my screen name comes from my nickname, Sibby.
I was going to use my name Siobhan, but I really don't want to put in my siggy of how to pronounce my name, lol. Sibby is easier to read and say.

Well this isn't any of the names I normally go by online, but I didn't want someone to be able to Google me and run across my posts on this forum... kinda personal stuff.

Also it's kind of a mental trick of mine to use a different name - not pretending to be someone else, but kind of role-playing myself as someone less shy than I actually am. Normal shy me would have read this and then thought "no one cares what I have to say" and moved on.

Anyway the name is from a brand of Japanese rice crackers I like, Hocrapabeyo, which roughly translates to Let's Eat Stars.

Red 34 i just love the fact your name is sherry and you are a redhead!!!

My name means a screwdriver in french (im french canadian) wich is tournevis.
However if you play with the way you spell the words with keeping tournevis in mind it makes Tourne Vice... wich means twisted vice! ahah (evil laugh)

My screen name is simple. I work in day care so when I talk to the children, I sometimes call them sweetie, and 31105 is my wedding anniversary. March 11, 2005. Almost 6 1/2 years ago, I married the most wonderful, supportive, sweet and caring man I've ever met.

Sherry--it hurt but I think UC cramps are worse!! I have a pretty high pain tolerance so it wasn't so bad.

My username is usually subduedjoy; however, it's just subdued on this forum.

My name is Joy, and like everything in life, nothing is pure black and white. There are always greys. So that's why subduedjoy.

I'd like my colon inflammation to be subdued, and having the username subdued reminds me to not get too anxious and stressed out.

I'm so boring because I'ma gardener lol. Not professionally or even on a larger scale, just in my own yard. Gardening has always been so peaceful. I live in SW Florida and grow plants for butterflies, fruit bearing plants for us even though I can't eat many (blackberry, mulberry, blueberry, oranges, lemons, limes), some veggies as well as heirloom roses (pre-1900 era) and daylilies. Also 8 kinds of bamboo which birds love to hide in.

My screen name was a nickname given to me by my husband's cousin when we were teenagers.
We were at camp one night and decided to go for a swim and the lake is a 10 minute walk down a bush road.
My husband's cousin being the joker he is decided to try and scare me. He hid in the bush up ahead and once I got past him he started to run towards me pretending to be a bear.
I started to run and tripped on a rock, needless to say I ended up "skidding" down the road on my face. The upside of the fall was I didn't spill a drop of my drink...lol

I wanted to convey innocence because during my first flare I had no idea what hit me. I wondered if some may suspect I was female but then I thought of Babe Ruth and figured I could get away with it. Bad idea. I also use this alias for making many comments in the newspaper and I noticed that everyone just assumes that I am female. I guess it makes it so much harder to learn my real identity.

Also my girlfriend also calls me babeinthewoods. Even though I have lived in a street wise city for 30 years she cannot believe how naive I can be sometimes.

Isn't it odd on how you get preconceived notions on who a person is?? I always thought you were female too Babe until several months ago.....oops!
