Looking for fecal Donor in Ontario paying thousands

Do you have family anywhere? Maybe you could ask one of them to be a donor and go visit them for two weeks. Make it an ft vacation.

If you are willing to pay so much, wouldn't it be worth considering the trip to Australia to have it done at the clinic? You would likely get better results too. They have donors on hand for a fee too.

I figure flying to Australia would cost around 25k !

I could advertise in the paper, but I feel people will just think I'm insane.

There's a doctor in Ajax, Ontario that does fecal transplant.  Dr Silverman. 

He's one of the only ones that do it here in Ontario.  He can also guide you how to do the home kit version. 

I'm gona try the home version.  I don't know how much more of UC I can take.

Thats great to hear there is a GI in Ontario doing FT. More and more are getting on board.

Tankor, another option for you is a"fecal transplant retreat". There is a naturopath offering this in Portland OR (US). A 5 day in patient (enemas only) for around $3k with them providing the donor, meals, hotel, etc. You'll have to google: fecal transplant retreat, bright medicine, and you should find it.

I'd look to the Yoga/Hippie community, many who run in those circles don't take meds. Or maybe put a want add at the local farmers market/health food store(We have Sprouts/Whole Foods here). something like "Do you never take meds? Have you never taken an antibiotic", etc etc." I wouldn't start with "Will pay for your poo" though that is hilarious. good luck

Welcome to the forum, this is an old thread from 2009, so I doubt any of the original posters will respond to your question.

If you are unable to get FMT through a clinical study in your area, then some have done home-FMT using a donor's stool (could be a significant other, friend, etc.). Care needs to be taken as stool can contain pathogens that can be transmitted among individuals, and the stool's beneficial bacterium are anaerobic, meaning live in an environment without oxygen and prolonged exposure to air can kill them. Dr Borody (not a gasteroenteroligist) created a protocol that some have followed themselves. If you search the forum there's been lots of discussion of his protocol over the years, and as well as you'll find the protocol itself.
