I have a coordinator from the Remi manufacturer - called Access One - send me a letter stating that my Dr asked them to step in on my behalf. I don't know if this is normal protocol or not but I like it :) I called them up and asked them what it is that they do. They work with the doctors, hospitals, insurance companies and Remi manufacturer to coordinate the whole transition. She told me that my insurance will cover the Remi 100% and all I need to get is a referral every time I go in for an infusion - I have a HMO - which is no problem.
Now, I am waiting for my docs office to set me up with my first infusion.
Right now, the bleeding has stopped due to cortenemas but I am still having issues. My gut still hurts, urgency comes and goes, D or C comes and goes. Random urges hit me in the evening. I am still having that nagging left sided pain and that ooey gooey feeling in my gut. I'm not doing too poorly but I'm not doing great either.
I am truly hoping this helps me where all the other meds have failed. But I don't want to get my hopes up too high. So I will just take a day at a time and hope for the best.
