Hey please excuse my spelling
I was diagnosed with ulcertive colitious about a 6 weeks ago and after a had a week long symtom showing of bloody diarrhea. Ever since getting being diangnosed and they put me on 40 mg pred and 6 Asacol HD a day i have felt like a guinea pig. For the first to 3 weeks i eating things like hash browns sausage and fryed egged( no cheese lactose intolorant) for breakfast. Things like handbergers and turkey coldcut sandwhiches for luck. Heck even steak from the grill and meatballs with alfrado was apart of my diet. Im very food dependant on my parents and they try to help but i guess they thought that grilling the meat made it better. I drunk lots of powerade and water. Slowly but shortly my GI and i noticed that my syntoms were not getting better and that my blood work showed that i was still highly inflamed so he raised me up to 50 mg pred. I saw him the 3 days ago and when i told him my stools were finally solid he told me to go back down to 40 I started keeping a food diary today and im going to stay doing so Im always around the house and im always hungry. I used to lift weights for about 1:30 mins a day for 5 to six days a week but havent done so since my flare up. Im now walking around at 150.
Basicly i havent had any diarah in over a week and i just found out what mucus is lol . I have a little mucus on my stools which looks weird but is solid. I will be asking alot of questions on this discussion board just to get a few peoples opinions and insite but ill go slow.
This is my diet for like the last 1 and a half weeks or so.
Salmon, canned tuna, baked chicken breast, roasted chicken,baked turkey.( Usually only have 3 servings of meats).
cantaloupe maybe 3 slices a day, unsweeted apple sause., saltine crackers maybe 20 a day, cream of wheat, 2 tp 3 ensures a day usually diluted with water and only a half cup at a time
I know my diet is still wrong with scd diet and all but im looking for suggestions to get me into remission or at least better funner meals.
What should i be eating and how much of it cause i wanna gain my weight back and be healthy in doing so
