Anyone have any tips to firm out stools? I have UC and generally go to the bathroom about 2 times per day. The stools have some form but are definately loose and very soft. Usually I can control when I go but sometimes it can get urgent especially in the morning. I have tried differerent types of fiber and they seem to bulk up the stool but the urgency and amount of times i have to make a trip to the bathroom increases to 3-5. I usually discontinue the fiber after a couple of days due to the increase in bm's per day. Are there any gentle fibers that would help more with this or maybe I should avoid fiber altogether?
