Today, tomorrow, and Tuesday - that's it. On Wednesday, my UC (and my colon) will be gone.

Nervous yes, but more excited than anything to be rid of this!

Good luck to all of you who are still battling.

No questions - just an update.

You've put in a tough battle with UC.

I'm sure you must be relieved at the decision you've made, and soon you'll have the surgery.

I wish you good luck and all the best.

Oh wow..the time has finally arrived!

Sending calming thoughts your way....I can only imagine that I'd be feeling the same, bittersweet.

Thanks everyone! I feel really positive, and can't wait to be UC-free.

I am just a bit nervous about the "major surgery" part of it! :)

FYI - for those of you who remember Chris123, he just had his surgery last week, and is recovering nicely. He is really happy with everything so far.

mom2panda....

Will be thinking of you and wishing you as much success as Dillon has had. Remember how important it is to get up and WALK as soon as possible....you will not feel like doing it but it is SO important. When you think you have walked all you can, get yourself up and do another lap....there is nothing better for getting the intestines awake and working properly. You will also be VERY hungry but when they tell you that you can start with a little food take it VERY slowly. You will regret it if you eat too much too soon.

Here's to waking up and immediately noticing the different feeling....no ache in your belly and, as most explain it, feeling "clean". Very soon your body will be on its road back to complete health. Not until this diseased organ is gone will you start to realize that you had completely forgotten what it felt like to feel "GOOD".

Thanks, everyone! I really, really appreciate the good vibes, wishes and prayers.

Collicat - Dr. MacRae remembered Dillon with a smile. I am feeling really confident with her.

I am so excited! Can't wait.

Will post and update when I can. By this time tomorrow, I will be colon and UC-Free!!
