thanks for the article alba!  i think this is key to ibd and no one seems to be pursuing it aggressively.  it would be devastating for the dairy industry, so i am certain that has something to do with the lack of attention that has been given to the MAP/ibd connection.  many of our vegetables are grown on fields fertilized w/cow manure...another way of easy entry.  the cases of ibd have increased over time in relation to the increase of factory farms.  coincidence? i think not.  i wish someone would get serious about this connection.  i am glad to see this article - it's a start!

In other words, the article says that UC patients could be a result of an infection from dairy.. I don't think its easy connection to prove because we have such a strong dairy lobby but the doctors could test their patients and collect data on it.
