I would consult with your doctor or a nutritionist first before taking licorice root, its a strong herb (not how it will make you feel) but what it can do for your body, and because you list some other medications that are specific to controlling your blood pressure and cholesterol, its a good idea to talk about it with someone.
I take 2tbsp licorice/slippery/marsh and simmer in water for 20mins, remove from heat then add 2tbsp of peppermint/chamomile, strain and drink!
