Imuran & elevated enzymes

My labs showed liver enzymes were slightly elevated this week, but not enough to stop the med. Interested in hearing other's experiences. If they continue to climb is standard approach to stop med, monitor labs, and start again on lower dose? Will talk to doc but curious what others have gone thru. And...as of today I'm DONE WITH PRED!!!!

I had to come off of imuran after 6 months as my liver enzymes continued to rise. My doctor won't put me back on them again because of this. I was lucky though because the imuran did get me back to a point where I have been on Asacol now for full 2 years without any issues. Keeping fingers crossed.

I had my enzymes show up as inreased before and they went back to normal eventually. They have been fine since.

Mine have been up and down. As and when they go up my GI used to redo it in a month, just for making sure that everything is alright. So far with this up and down cycle, I am still on Imuran, so unless they are way off, don't worry.

Sorry I don't have much to offer. My liver enzymes have been really good while on Imuran. Really low and consistent. My GI doc said he really only gets worried when the enzymes levels get into the triple digits and then it really is decreasing or stopping the medication and letting things settle down.
