Do you ever feel like a junkie??? LOL I am having my 5th infusion tomorrow and I can't wait for it! It's such an odd feeling to be honest. I fought Remicade for about 2 years before relenting and now it seem that I can't wait to get it. I think it's because I just know that it's my "magic juice". I have been feeling great with the Remicade! I'm back to normal in every way. Solid bm's, no pain, no cramping, no bleeding, no urgency.......it's been so long since I've had this pre-UC feeling that I honestly don't know what to do with myself anymore! smilewinkgrin

Ha! Even though I'm off the Remi, I called it the same thing -- my magic juice! I always looked forward to getting the infusion; my husband thought I was nuts because he hates IV's. It just gave me so much energy and I like to visit with the nurses and my friends. As I've said, the best part is that my colon has been healed and I'm still in remission...knock on wood.

I don't get the energy burst or anything like that, in fact it makes me pretty tired even a few weeks out. But just the fact that I don't have to worry where a bathroom is way worth it!

I just got my first infusion today. Was wondering how long it took you until you started to get into remission on remicade?

I started seeing results fairly quickly but the symptoms would come back before my next infusion date. I just had my 5th infusion and in between the 4th and the 5th, I had no symptoms at all. So far I've been in a good remission for about 3 months.
