Doctor said everything okay? Should I question that? Help!

Hello,

I stayed home from work today because when I got up my stomach was so distended along with nausea and just sheer exhaustion.  I called the doctor for something for nausea and an enema and he said all my blood work came back fine and t just treat it the old fashioned way, tea and toast.  I said to him why am I having such symptoms?  His response is I don't know.  I do have pretty nasty hemorrhoids but I still feel pressure in my butt. 

Has anyone ever had symptoms like this before with normal colonoscopy and blood work?  I am going in for a colonoscopy on next Tuesday.  I feel like my doctor isn't believing me.  Help!

Stacy, I almost always have normal blood work but my scopes usually show some level of inflammation. I would give it a couple days and see how you're doing. At least you're having a scope soon, that will show inflammation if there is any. Otherwise, it is possible to have IBS along with UC oor you could have eaten something that disagreed. I hope you get some answers.

interesting...my doc doesn't depend on any bloodwork to tell me if I'm flaring or not. But, the c.scope will tell all.

do you have any rectal meds? if yes...start them.

I asked for the rectal meds and he didn't want to give them to me.  I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary.  I went to my PCP today and went over all of it and since I haven't been eating she reminded me how important it is to eat at least protein.  So I made myself an egg sandwich and in the bathroom I was.  Very frustrating.  Thank  you for answering me.  It does help.
