How do you get your stool to be of the right consistancy? Although I have bleeding and sometimes pass liquid mucous, most of my stools are formed. Lately it has been coming out in balls and not one or two formed pieces like it should. I think the harder clumpy stools do not help with the bleeding. I'm sure my lack of fiber is not helping. How do I eat or what should I take to make them smoother but still formed?

Are you using enemas? It sounds like you have lower/rectal inflammation and need something to address that. Also, you might want to slowly increase the fiber (soluble and small amounts at first if there's bleeding).

I think you are right killcolitis. Can't take mesalamine so I was doing cort enemas but was trying to wean off. I don't know if they have the opposite effect after a while. So confused on that one. GI thought they weren't working so maybe taper. I think I should add them back.
What do you suggest for fiber? I don't want to scratch anything up down there. Ugg I hate this .....

Seasons, I don't know what to advise re: fiber. My daughter is VERY sensitive to fiber so we have to be very careful. Can you do oats? Even something like avacados have a lot of soluble fiber in them. Some people take metamucil but I can't advise about
this. May be worth starting another threat asking about
soluble fiber. Good luck!

if you want plain fiber that absorbs water or juice with no sugar which metamucil has in it.. I use Konsyl..A little bit more money but worth it to me. sugar tends to tear me up and too much sugar is not good for crohn`s at all, it can cause inflimation.

THOSE LITTLE POOP "BALLS" ARE SO WEIRD. I ALWAYS PICTURE THE THE COLON LIKE A DRYER TRYING TO FORM A POOP AND ALL THAT TUMBLES DOWN ARE LITTLE ROUND BALLS...WEIRD

I have this problem too, never the right consistency. I either have HARD where it's tearing or soft. I wish I could just have NORMAL! I am sorry, I don't have suggestions, I am always scared of making things worse and I notice whatever I do, they seem to change each day regardless.

stool consistency is tricky. Its a combo of colon pH, inflammation levels, gut flora balance, diet
I personally would try writing down your food items and how they affect your BMs. Fiber supplements can sometimes normalize but can occasionally exacerbate things by scrubbing too much.
Ive noticed that keeping an eye on what Im passing one day usually dictates my diet the next. After awhile it will become second nature
