After 5 years of ulcerative colitis suffering finally feel much better!

where did my post go??only the computer knows! Well I sent one a hour back, I did quick reply and I don't see it.

I ordered the Parscalit clay too and that arrived today. That company sent a lot of samples, that was so nice! I took the clay at 11am and 6pm this morning not much different, but I felt REALLY good after just the first drink yesterday. I was able to drive a hour and half to my Lyme's doctor not worrying or feeling really inflammed in my rectum! I drove home just as well. In the past I always took my BF because I was afraid of all the driving and having to use the bathroom.

Today I did another glass this morning and a small one this afternoon. I had a host of blood work done this morning, we are checking my thyroid, DHEA and cortisol and Iron all which seem to be low. That's another post...later

Anyways, I'm so glad to be getting all my minerals, something I never supplemented with! Hopefully tomorrow morning will be better than today.

I have been reading about this for a little while after I read your post and and I am definitely thinking about trying it. I am about to go to the websites now and look it up. I am on budesonise (steroid) and asacol, so I take budesonide in the morning with asacol and then the asacol again around 3 and again around 11 or 12 before bed...so take the clay an hour before the meds? or two hours? Thanks!
And to everyone else, please post how you make it this sounds awesome but I want to see everyones results before I try it because I get nervous about products! Lol

Yes, you take the clay 1 hour before food or medicine or 2 hours after. I usually mix my clay in water the night before and put a glass of clay water and a glass of plain water on my night stand and as soon as I wake up drink it and drink a little of regular water after it, to get the taste and "sandy" texture out of my mouth. Then I stay in bed for awhile if I can or just do other things: take ashower, take my dogs out.. Just do not eat for1 hour or as close to it as I can. The 2d glass of clay I take when I feel I need it: a little before food, a little after... Just not with your medicine.
If you have to take your medicine right before bed, it is not very good. I think it would be very beneficial to take the clay before bedtime, so it would have time to work on the digestive system without fighting with the food or medicine in your stomach. Well, I guess, you could take the 3d glass of clay water 2 hours after dinner and wait 2hours and take your medicine.
That is the best advice I can give you. Maybe after you feel better, you could taper off or even stop taking some of your meds.

I forgot to tell you, if you are in pain you can take a few sips of clay water whenever you need it. You do not have to wait for the empty-stomach time. I keep a glass of clay water next to me all the time and if I feel quizzy after a meal or bathroom, I drink some clay and it makes me feel better.

I am 5feet 7inches and weigh 112 pounds, so if your weight is much higher you need to take some more clay or just add an extra dose.

One more thing. I started feeling noticably better on the 4th day. Like you said, it is only the 2d day! Plus, if you do have hemorroids, clay maybe has to work on it too, so it might slow down the healing of the colon.

you are very welcome! Yes, I am pretty skinny. At one point I weighed less than 110lb. It was scary! You could study anatomy just by looking on me. My husband wants me to gain some weight. I am trying but I can not eat too much, I get nauseous.
I am glad you are feeling a little better.

I just got the terramin clay in the mail today. I have UC and am on no meds or supplements right now. I am trying to heal naturally. I am currently on day 2 of the SCD. They say not to take any supplements until you are not doing the intro diet anymore. So I am going to start the clay on Saturday or Sunday. Really hoping it helps me! Right now I have D about 6 times a day... cant seem to go anywhere without worry and having to use the bathroom. I will let you know how it works out on me. :) Thanks for the suggestion!

I think for me, the pascalite clay is way too strong or I'm taking to much. I'm going to stick with terramin clay for a while. I just have been in the bathroom a ton this morning, just elimating like heck, no so bloody but a ton of stool existing at a rapid pace. It is like if you have too much magnesium and that's definetly in there with the calcium. It says it will detox you and it's a cleanser and boy I feel I'm being cleansed!

Yesterday I felt better than today. I just need to back it down some and go back to the terramin.

I also wanted to tell you that I took Terramin clay for more than a week, closer to 10 days first, before I tried Pascalite.

Pascalite can kill bacteria that causes food poisoning(E-Coli, salmonella...) and dysentery. Maybe it was trying to kill and pull something out of your body too. It just was doing it too fast for your body.

Yes, stick with Terramin clay for a while and look into your diet. Maybe something you eat triggers your reaction. For me it could be:bread, tomatoes, grapes, bananas, fish, nuts seeds, fat or greasy food, many different spices..

Eat some warm soup with some rice and well cooked vegetables. If you eat chicken, try chiken-noodle or chicken-rice soup.
