Colozal trying it again

Well the asacol was passing in my stool so I'm going to try colozal again. I'm suppose to take 3 three times a day, but I do remember getting headaches. I think I will start out VERY SLOWLY and remember to be hydrated a lot!

Well wish me luck. I just want to hear good things about colazol and YES I got the name brand and not generic :) I'm happy about that!

 I was trying the clay, but I know I need something more with it.

I tried Colazal early in my treatment and it didn't work. We ended up revisiting two years after I went into remission because Asacol wasn't enough and I'm actually doing better on it.
I did have headaches and some funky none UC-like diarrhea but they went away after two weeks. I'm on the generic without problems but I know it can make a big difference for some.

Colazal worked great for me (in conjunction w/ imuran) for years. I just recently stopped taking it after starting remicade. I never had any side effects from it. I did better on the name brand versus the generic.

Colazal has worked wonders for me. I tried Lialda and generic Colazal and started flaring with both. I also had headaches and joint pain with 3 pills 3 times a day so I cut back to 2 pills 3 times a day and did fine. I've been on this dose for 7 years now. Not sure if the lower dose will work for you but just I would put it out there.

I've taken Colazal probably for 10 years (or whenever it first came out). I've never had an issue with it. I take 3 pills/3 times a day and have taken this dose pretty much the entire time.  I took Asacol for many years before the Colazal and didn't really have issues with it although I did experience hair loss after taking it a long time. Never determined for sure if it was the Asacol but decided to try the Colazal anyway.  I've never had any side effects that I know of from the Colazal. I do have joint pains but always just assumed that was just from having UC.

I'm on day two of my colazol, last night a sore throat all night. Kind of feel like I'm getting a cold but no other symptom of a cold. I posted on this back in 2006, pretty much same side effect. What does that mean? I just have  sore throat, no fever, chills or anything else? Weird huh?
