I've mentioned before that after all these powerful drugs (some which I tried for only a week or so and could not tolerate) is what I blame for my high blood pressure (190/110 and 95 beat) and some strong body jerks that were troubling me, they seemed to start at my lower back and top of my spine like my pulse but boy did they hurt and jerk me uncontrollably. Well 4 days ago I went to bed and suffered this jerking as I got into bed and it really hurt my chest this time and it scared me. The next day my Bp was down to 170 ish/ 95 the next 157/85 and now the last two days it has been down at 129/75 with a beat of 65 ish.

I will keep the appointment with the heart monitor thingy that my Doc made for me when I told her about it.

I find this astonishing, any ideas what's happened?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry lol

     Are you back on prednisone?  While on prednisone, my blood pressure was uncontrollable and I took three different meds to try to keep it down!  I was hospitalized three times for UP but one of the main reasons for those hospitalizations was the blood pressure.  I am certain if I didn't have that operation back in 2010, I wouldn't be here today.  I was able to wean off the prednisone within two months after my operation and my blood pressure is now easily controlled with only 1 pill a day (25 mgm of toprel xl).  It reads 110/70 most days.  Much better than the 216/110 it used to be rolleyes .

I have been off all steroids for over a month now and off Pred for about 4 months.

One thing worries me, when I was in hospital I had lots of infusions and when I came home I had one vein in my arm that was quite solid, I went to my local GP and he gave me cream to rub on it. It's gone now but where to?

I'm sure it was like a clot, but Doctors didn't seem concerned even in Hospital.

My Bp for the last two days has crept back up to about 160/79, when I go for mt heart check up I will tell them everything, the problem is they do not speak any English and I always fear they are not getting my messages clear, although they probably are.

Could it be this clot thing? I had a real bad head one day that pain killers wouldn't even shift. This bloody illness effects us in more ways than we expect.

     I don't think what you are referring to was a blood clot.  Your veins develop scar tissue from being stuck so much.  My veins were so bad they had to put in a PIC line.  Your bad headaches could be the result of your high blood pressure.  Every time my blood pressure went up, I would get a terrible pounding in the back of my head and sometimes the top of my head would feel like it was going to blow off.  It's a miracle I didn't stroke out many times.

     Your doctors don't speak English??  Where are you?

Hi Christine1946, thanks for that, I am worried a little whats going on My BP is up to 160 ish again today a few days ago it was in the 120's.

I am in Spain, 1st class treatment here, It's just I always wonder if they understand me, even though I know they should lol.
