Does anyone have reccomendations for good GI doctors in Southern California? I am looking for someone more nice and considerate as mine is very pushy and tends to force medications on me.

I don't know where you are in relationship to San Francisco but here is a good doctor there: http://fourfoldhealing.com/ Dr. Thomas Cowan. I work with him by phone since I am in Maryland. He has helped me so much!
Here's my story if you'd like to check it out: http://simplisticwholistic.com/blog/2012/06/my-gaps-gut-healing-journey

Thanks vb4girl, but I am looking for an MD and not a holistic doctor.

vb4girl - I keep seeing your plaster your blog all over HW. Are you getting something out of this? A profit? If so, this is not allowed and I will be forced to contact the administrator.

Red_34,
Not at all and I am sorry that it has come across that way. I just am sharing my story just like others here do. Others need to hear a true story that shows there is another way through this suffering, than with what we are typically presented. I have been through my suffering for a reason and all throughout my disease, I was only encouraged down the road of pharmaceuticals, the proposal of surgeries and life-long meds to "manage the systems" only. I learned of true healing on my own. I wish I would have known the flip side of the coin before. I am not trying to sell anything. I am merely sharing the link because that's where I have told my ENTIRE story. As you know from your personal experience, we are always searching for another way and by sharing my story, I hope that some can find a way similar to mine because this way is not a temporary thing - it is true healing. I am so passionate that I don't think people can discount dietary changes unless they give the GAPS diet/program a true 100% shot. A lot of people try "dietary approaches" but the GAPS diet/program is like none-others and there are mistakes that a lot of people make when following it. Again, I just want to share my story, that's all, and hope that it touches those that are being taken along the medication-route which will only manage and hide symptoms at the same time as lead to side effects, short-term and long-term. I have also found that many of us with IBD also show our gut imbalance and illness in other areas, such as allergies, skin problems, asthma, joint pain, etc. There is a world of healing possibility out there and I just want to express that in my story and posts, so that it can reach more people suffering.
