I have pancolitis. I'm on Asacol. The last scope I can't remember where it showed the inflammation to, but it was high in the rectum.
Since then I was on hydrocortisone, then canasa. Then canasa was not enough. Then he tried to say it was IBS. Ya I wish. Then hydrocortisone, then Rowasa.
These docs around here don't do rectal meds. They go right to immuno-suppressants. I even have a lot of trouble getting Rowasa at the pharmacy and have had to call around each month I had it filled.
So I had severe inflammation at my last scope. But probably not by the time I started Rowasa.
Would it seem normal to be taking Rowasa nightly after 3m and still have some symptoms or 6m? What time would you give it?
I'm not really worried about
tapering, I don't care if I have to take it every night. I just want to know when to say Rowasa has done all it can and I need more help.
Thanks.
