what are orange pieces in bm that look like shredded carrots but haven't eaten carrots???

what in the heck are these orange pieces and does anyone else get them.  its not blood.  is it tissue? its so weird, trying to figure out if this is an improvement over blood.......

Have you eaten fresh tomatoes lately? That happened to me a few times and I figured out it was tomato skins.

could it be part of enteric coating form pills?

It could be the outer casing of your Lialda. I had that when I was on Asacol.

no havent had tomatoes,  i get this alot

red,  good call, about the outer casing of the lialda. although the lialda is more of a maroonish color.....

i just didnt know if it was something to worry about.  you know how we all peer into the toilet after and "check" lol........

Yep, it's the coating of the lialda....I get them with the Asacol. Perfectly pulverised.

Just to point out that your colon ph dissolves them just perfectly. A huge plus.

to me it is....they're in there for a good long while, obviously.

two pills survived a c-scope prep...go figure. They were nicely split and spilling slowly...cool to see!

Its the Lialda. I have it often as well and that's the only UC med I take.
