I flew a lot for my previous job and never had any problems. I had to take a trip at the very end of my first flare -- I was still on pred, but only 10 mg every other day. I was not 100% symptom-free, but I was pretty much OK. It didn't affect anything. I continued to get better, went completely off pred, and have been in remission since.

it is odd. three months I wnt on a business trip. middle of the trip I started having a flare. flare lasted about two months. am corrently on another trip. again beginning of flare. no pain, but blood. which has not occured in weeks. worth noting, very low stress trip.

I remember a few months ago, the forum had a study on a link between high altitudes and aggravation of flares in UCer's. So, I would say anything is possible, but to cushion your nerves, I've flown a few times now since being diagnosed and cannot say anything has changed much. =/
