Ladies: do you get worse menstrual cramps on prednisone?

Does anybody else get horrible menstrual cramps while on prednisone? I have my period once every 12 weeks and I am in horrible pain tonight with cramps. So bad I could only hold my enema in for an hour before running to the bathroom and I always keep I in all night. This bad pain happened with my last period too in April. I've taken 1/2 a Vicodin pill and that won't even help! I hate to take more as it constipates me although I don't seem to have that issue tonight.

Does anybody else have his issue? Is it a normal side effect? I don't see how I'll sleep at all with this pain.

I ended up taking the other 1/2 of the vicodin pill which took away most of the pain, but then I couldn't fall asleep till 2:30am!  Then at 5:30am I could feel the cramps coming back. I took my Prednisone a little after 6am and I swear that took them away. I swear it must be the drop in hormones when taking the Pred and stopping the birth control pills for a week.  I should have just kept taking the birth control pills, but I had cancer cells in my endocervix last fall and I suppose feel like I need to 'flush it all out' every few months just to get any 'bad' cells out that might be hanging around. I'm sure its irrational but I definitely don't want the cancer cells coming back.

I will be more than happy to not have my period till sometime in Oct after this!  The worst part is, on Prednisone I really barely even have it, other than the cramps. :(
