low back pain, bruising - 6mp?

My c-diff is back. Saw an infectious disease specialist. He said in all his years of practice he's never dealt with someone who has had it this severe and that what my GI doctor is doing is absolutely correct. On a 34-week taper of Vancomycin (this is after a 6-month taper of Vancomycin failed).

Anyhow, for the last three days I've felt awful: extreme fatigue and weakness, severe low back pain, nauseous and bruising on the legs (this is in addition to all the typical c-diff/proctitis symptoms I have). At first I thought it was my c-diff (although I'm taking 3 Vancomycin/day—it should be suppressed). I'm testing today ... should have the results in a few days. But then I was reading about the side effects of 6mp and the low back pain/bruising specifically seem to match. Anyone else experience these things while on 6mp?

I had c-diff recently. I thought I was going to die!! When the medication got rid of the c-diff I was in a horrible flare-up. My lower back hurts a lot when I'm in a flare-up. My husband gave me a hicky and it didn't go away for 2 weeks. I haven't felt soooo bad in all my life as when I had c-diff. I hope you feel better soon!!

When I was first put on 6mp, I had severe bruising on my legs. So much so that I had a GI appt and I had him look at my legs. I literally had about 15 or so bruises up and down them. He sent me in for a platelet blood test, which came up fine. It just seems to be a side effect of immune suppressors unfortunately :( I'm now on both 6mp and Remicade and if you so much as LOOK at me, I bruise.
