Stress is huge for me.
At the time of the birth of my UC, I was in an emotionally manipulative relationship. I was just trying to wrap my head around everything my girlfriend was saying and keeping up with the lies. She was brutally insane.
I still can't get her out of my head 2 years later...
Hmm, we share that similarity. Although, it helps to move to different places, try different things, go back to school, get a new job, new friends, new surroundings and develop new interests.
On another note, I was also stressed when I was younger. My dad was a little abusive with his words, put my sisters and I down constantly, he was a perfectionist and a hard night-shift worker (which amplified his attitude).. But today its no longer an issue.
I was very shy and nervous when I was younger, not much confidence at all, but once I got away for college I had too much fun, and I think trying a hard drug set me over the edge. I started having GI symptoms right then and there, anxiety, withdrawing from my friends and a relationship... and eventually UC hit hard. I think stress has a lot to do with it for me. I remember in high school I had GI symptoms when I was in my first relationship/breakup, which hit me pretty hard.
