I got in the bathroom with only seconds left and found to my utter horror that some guy was in the stall with several kids. I hate it when they put the baby changing station in the stall. Anyway, I knew that he was going to be in there for a while so with five seconds til blast off I quickly pulled down my pants and sat on the urinal. It made enough noise that I could tell the family in the stall stopped what they were doing and were thinking, "***?". I flushed the urinal and left.

Thanks to all for sharing. I needed a good laugh and found that here. I don't know about others, but I can clear a building when I am flaring due to the ungodly smell associated with plain farts and sharts. My "funniest" story came when I was in a stall in the high school girls' bathroom cleaning myself after an explosion. Two girls came in and one said to the other, "Omg! What is that awful smell." The other responded, "The only time I ever smelled anything that bad was when our cat got sick and had diarrhea all over the place. Let's go to the upstairs bathroom."

Comic relief is cathartic!!!!

Oh man, that was hilarious. I feel your pain!! Have been having this issue lately. I hate this disease. I hate it so much.

The only possibly helpful comment I could add here: wear an extra-absorbant disposable undie if you're out in the world with urgency issues!!!!!!!! Then, at least, the mess is unlikely to burst into your real pants & leak downward from there. / Old Hat (31 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Lord - I'm swapping a poop story. Never in my life.

I tried to make it up the stairs in time, however, my friend, who has cerebral palsy, was already half way up, so I had no choice. I ran downstairs to our dungy, old, creepy out-of-order toilet, only to explode half way down the basement stairs. And once I got on the darn thing, it stopped. I simply sighed.

We need better warning.

The last time we shared funny stories I remember someone using their own socks to wipe in a public restroom with no toilet paper. I still laugh at that. Another person used their own underwear. Comforting to know if you hurriedly race into a stall (possibly shoving old ladies with nagging voices out of the way) and there's no toilet paper there ARE other options.
