Silliness: Have you named your colon?

I refer to my UC (and in a sense, my colon), to my wife and immediate family, as my "stupid thing" - I also tend to think of my colon (though its really my immune system) as an old beatr of a car that is cnstantly backfiring and stalling out at random.

i call my colon a lot of profanities that i can't say on here.

Hahaha, I love the nicknames you listed...especially "The Kraken" - it's such a ridiculous yet harsh term at the same time.

Hubby and I call mine Cranky.

I haven't named it. I just swear more when I'm flaring and at how crappy I feel.

I would have busted out laughing at the "are you ready to rumble" Of course nobody in the room probably felt all that well at the time.

Yup, counting down the days! Surgery is on the 30th! I'm of course terrified but excited. I had my last max strength Remi on July 13th and 40megs of steroids (for the past two months, 25 mgs for two months before that), still bleeding and mucusing but doing relatively ok compared to two weeks ago. I go to the bathroom on occasion and am reminded, via the pain, why the colon is not staying! The last Remicade infusion helped some to tide me over, but I know if I drop the steroids that things would be bad.
