If all is well, I will be asking my consultant for a private perscription for a months worth of VSL3 at my visit next week. My GP in the UK said we will need his reccomendation in a letter to get this on the NHS, as it is currently only perscribed for pouchitis. However, I have purchased some for myself in the interim - 10 satchets, which will arrive today or tommorrow.
I have also dropped to 13mg of pred now. Very Very Very nervous - its horrible, I am so scared everyday if I will start to flare, and think it may be wise that I come down in 1mg reductions if I am going to do this, to give myself the best chance. Nearly two years of pred is a very long time - but saying that, I did get down to 3mg just a few months ago, but then my aza got stopped due to low WBC, and I flared a little...
