Two in two days! Went for a walk with my girls for about 45min, was two houses away when the slight feeling hit an d didn't make it, luckily had a depends on. Ugh am almost off the pred, guess I am going to go through with surgery. This sucks!

Thanks, Apriso and Canasa. Still haven't tried LDN, GI won't prescribe that. She suggests methotrexate or some new trial that starts with a T. Tried fecal already. I might try diet again, did the scp, can't remember name, for 10 weeks a couple of years ago.

Do you mean SCD? Did it work for you?

I hope that Metamucil helps.

Yeah scd, it was hard to tell, I did it while on pred so 8 weeks of it I was on 40-25, then the last two weeks I started to see blood, so I threw in the towel. That was before I ever got this bad though, about 2years ago. I would have stuck it out longer I think, if I thought I would get this bad.

I feel your pain. Last Friday I had 4 accidents in one day.....I believe it's my lowest of low.
I got Canasa finally and have been able to retain them while doing a liquid/bland diet. The blood is gone and the mucous too. However I still have the big D and urgency. Blah! Going to start prednisone again tomorrow for a quick taper.

Yeah, I recently had 2 accidents in one day. SUCKS! I increased my prednisone to 20 mg and that has helped a lot with the urgency. Now I'm going to try a VERY slow taper.

This disease is just so humiliating. I hope that things start to look up for you, allswell.

I feel you this is the worst part of UC those darn accidents. I can't wait till I get into remission. ugh

     I see you've tried Remicade and 6MP.  You mentioned surgery.  Don't be afraid of it.   I procrastinated for twelve years.  I did enjoy a two year remission after being diagnosed in 1998 and then again from 2000 to 2002, but then started flaring more and more often.  On 6MP for seven years, tried Remicade (failed after 3rd infusion) and then Humira (no change after three months).  Talk about accidents!  I had three portapots stationed throughout my house and I live in a rancher.  Thank God I didn't work because I would never have been able to hold a job.  Had surgery in 2010 and never looked back.
