You throw out all your pajamas and live in nightgowns for easy bathroom access! Not fun fighting with your robe and pants. They can really get tangled up!

Also you change you habit from keeping the toilet lid down to having it up all the time. Once I accidental mishandled a tube of toothpaste and it wound up in the toilet. I used to keep the toilet lid down 'casue I'm accident pron! Now I just take my chances!

You know you have UC when you're a guy and you can't remember the last time you urinated standing up.

When you scroll through your texts on your phone between you and your spouse, and 10% of them are "I love you"s and "I miss you"s, and the other 90% are about poop.

You find a "poo log" journal in the humor section of the bookstore and think it's a very useful tool.

You can smell the difference between your remission poops and that FIRST one when it becomes active again.

When your friends need a recommendation for a good GI, they know to talk to you first.

You know you have UC when you buy wet wipes in bulk from the wholesale club.

You know you have uc when:

  • Rather than being repulsed you’re jealous of the floater someone else left in the bowl because it looks better than yours
  • You've contemplated installing a seat belt on your toilet for those really rough mornings
  • You prefer using an isolated bathroom and stall because it’s likely going to be a noisy one
  • You roll your eyes when somebody else complains about having to take their medication
  • The number of times you pooped so far today can really make or break your day
  • You can open a complex, child-safe medication bottle like a pro
  • You frequently have to charge your cellphone because you drain the battery quickly playing videogames multiple times a day on the throne
  • An unexpected gurgle causes you to mentally plot the quickest path to the closest bathroom
  • Before leaving on a car trip of any length, you sit on the throne for a few minutes just to make sure you’re okay
  • A great day is having just a single bm

When you make sure you take the seat closest to the door whenever you go to class, and having an aisle seat on buses/planes is absolutely not negotiable!

You know you have UC when you keep a roll of toilet paper everywhere, car, purse, backpack, closet, and anywhere else you can think of.

When your packing to go to the hospital and check to make sure you have the good toilet paper :)

When you use baby wipes and destin more now then you did as a baby
