Inflammation, fever, chills

I have a cold since a week now but instead of getting better, it's getting worse. Since yesterday I seem to have fever and I definitely the chills. I was packed in two blankets plus a heating pad and I didn't get warm.

I have inflammation in my mouth which grow bigger and spread. I have a big canker sore behind my lower lip and a smaller one on the upper lip. I have them now on my tongue too. My vaginal inflammation doesn't get better.

I fasted last weekend so I'm still having fluid stools but I do not see anymore blood. I'm slowly introducing new foods.

Are the fever and chills related to the inflammations? Or does it sound like a regular cold?

You may want to consider adding or doubling your probiotics.

Generally, when a virus or cold starts, it's always a great idea to increase probiotics.

I wouldn't recommend yogurt. But, what about some other type probiotics?

S. boulaardi I use them myself, and they are not expensive.

The fever and inflammation you are having concern me, I thought you should have this checked out.

How high is your fever? And are you in pain as well?

i used to get a fever every day just during flares, so the fever sounds normal if you are also having a cold. your body is working to fight off the infection.

if you go to the doctor, you will be put on something, so if you stay home, you'll just need to rest and ride it out. depends what you want to do. honestly, my sinus infections last for weeks and i just suffer through them. i do the hot lemon juice, cayenne pepper, ginger concoctions. i have also been reading up a lot on silver for colds. that's my plan of attack if i come down with one.

I can call my GP yes. Should I ask for pred? Entocort is not helping. Would pred help with vag. and mouth inflammation too?

I cannot stay home. If I stay home I cannot pay the rent. I don't get sick time off because I'm just a contractor.

Pain: Vag. inflammation (burning pain, cannot sit, burns when peeing), mouth inflammation, throat pain (tonsils?), when I take a deep breath something left sided near my arm and left sided on the height of my belly button but left and around my waist (not the colon, that pain is different), cannot lift my leg because of this. back pain, knee pain, headache. That's pretty much it.

I usually took mesalazine fine or can it happen suddenly? How much longer after quitting until you felt better?

I can't really help you with anything. But I want to congratulate you on working while feeling sick. I do that also. The minute that I cannot work is the minute I'm getting my colon out.

So far, I'm floating along.

could you have the flu or something like that? fever and chills, body aches are all the flu. not everything is uc connected. ***hug**** feel better

I still believe you should call your GP about it. And see what he says, no?

After thinking about this for a while I think it's the left flexure. I remember having this pain years ago, just not that badly. I had pancolitis and I couldn't walk straight. That pain I have right now is familiar to me. I will get cortisone from my GI I cannot take this anymore.
