This morning I am having upper left side abdominal pain - about
a few inches left of my belly button and a few inches up from there. I've been having the pain on and off, mostly mild, the past few months but today its a bit sharper. I'd say its my pancreas, but I had an MRI Enterography with contrast back in July which showed nothing (other than the usual inflamation in my lower left colon). I also had a CT scan with contrast earlier this month and that showed that my pancreas was slightly enlarged but showed no inflamation of the pancreas at all. My pancreatic enzymes have been a little elevated since July which is why I had these tests done. My doctors ruled out pancreatitis since both of those tests didn't show much. My left side back has been hurting too for the past months. Seems like I've had all the tests and the doctors don't really have much to say anymore (I feel like they think I am lying!).
I do have a little gas today (both ends) - could it just be that? I'm trying to figure out what else it could possibly be. It does hurt more when I move certain ways. Originally I thought 'well maybe I just injured myself somehow as I often seem to do at the gym' - but seems odd the pain would come when I'm just sitting around and not doing much.
Any ideas? Is it likely just my colon? I started taking prescription Omeprazole a few days ago hoping to help some of my indigestion and stomach noises. I assume that couldn't make whatever is causing this pain worse?
