confused I have been on Imuran for 3 years at 150mg a day. I have had no problems but I went and had a colonoscopy two weeks ago. Now I have hair loss,stomach pain, join pain. My colonoscopy came back clean and I am still in pain when I have a BM. When I do have a BM I get hot sweats and chills, and pain so bad that I feel like I am going to pass out. I also have an incredible urge to push and I can't control that urge at all. Can anyone help? My doctors have no clue!

did you have any inflammation low in the rectum..mild at all?

Did you have the same symptoms before you had your scope...or did it start afterward?

Have you tried any rectal meds to see if that helps?
How about an antispasmodic?

Do you have a fissure?

What you describe is exactly what I have when I'm flaring...

What are your bms like and how often do you go?

it was most likely the colonoscopy. the last one i had in august completely incapacited me. i had an abdominal CT scan which showed nothing. my cramps were just unbearable and nothing, including 6mp, was helping. i lost a lot of weight that month because i couldn't eat anything.

I don't know if I have inflammation in the rectom, my doctor just said that my scope came back clean.? I was on modeulin but it made me really sick with major head aches and nausea. I am not on any rectal meds and have no fissures. I have ALWAYS had this pain but my GI said it was IBS and left it at that.
I only have a BM once or twice a week but when I go it starts off with a normal BM a d progresses to nothing but mucus and blood. And severe pain. Then I am running to the bathroom every 20 minutes for the rest of the day. I am on 17 g of PEG a day. All I eat right now is a BRAT diet. So there is no extra fiber. I am drinking water so that helps. I have also started to drink fresh organic green tea.
What is 6 mp's? I am not sure what that is. I am not allowed any pain meds unless I go to out patients at the local hospital and that takes hours to get seen. At least I do t have to pay for the visit so I shouldn't complain.
My pain is always on the left side between my hip and pelvic area.
