Hey,
not sure if this is helpful but when I was first ill my parents kidnapped me and took me home for 4 weeks, then I moved back to my home and struggled on alone. That was two and half years ago. they live 150 miles away, I was a lodger when first diagnosed, then had shared houses since. I'm 26 I have a full time job, friends and have dated since being diagnosed - like everybody else, also had flare ups in between.
I really don't understand what you're worried about. If you ave a job and it is what you want, just move out. Its no more stressful for me than my housemate who suffers from anxiety, my friend who lives alone with diabeties and my two friends who live alone and suffer from depression. (honest we're not all broken, we just have our needs) We're all fiercly independant but have great suppport networks.
