So much gurgling and popping

Ok, is this normal???  Since I went back into a flare about a week ago, my intestines are popping and gurgling so much that it actually prevents me from sleeping!  Gas pills do nothing.  Not to mention it makes me feel like I have to have a BM, when really gas just comes out.  Doesn't make it easy to take an enema either and I've been taking those for years.  I have been flaring on and off for a year now and never had this problem.  And I'm not even bleeding or anything, I don't even really have that much pressure on my bottom.  So what is all this gurgling and popping?  How do I get this to go away already? 

Has anybody had this problem?

Yep, hycosamine. I took it last night but it doesn't seem to always take it away. It seems to work better for pains in my abdomen rather than the bubbling.

As quincy said. Probiotics and diet. Maybe youre eating something before bed that does it or its the biotics because I get the same thing because of VSL, just not to such a great extent.

Unfotunately I work far from home so I don't get home until around 8pm (I go to the gym after work to avoid the horrible rush hour traffic). So I eat dinner around 8pm. I've been following a low-fiber diet though that is pretty bland for the past week. I actually ate far worse the other times this year my flare got worse, and didn't seem to have this issue. It just seems so strange to have it now.

I take the Ultimate Flora in the morning, and the Align at night. I try to take them both without food, between meals.
I've been taking the 30mg for 3 days now and haven't seen much of a difference so far.

I haven't been working out as much the past week due to the flare and my other issues I've been dealing with. I was going to try to go again tonight and then try yoga tomorrow night. I worked from home all last week though so didn't need to deal with the traffic issues.

I haven't tried taking both probiotics at the same time, I guess I was worried it my upset my tummy and gut more. I already take two calcium pills a day, one in the morning and one before bed.

I did just get a prescription for VSL #3 DS, just waiting for the pharmacy to get it in stock. I got a 90 day supply, whatever that is. It was $0 so I figured what the heck. Guessing I should stop taking the other probiotics once I start the VSL?

I have had this problem since I started my uc flare and haven't found anything to help. I have the worst rumbling in the evenings but it can go on during the day. I don't really have a diet so to speak since I depend on tube feeding so I don't think mine is diet related and I had this problem before I started the probiotics ( and even now I the rumbles start before I take my evening meds). Its often loud enough people can hear it across the room. I've wondered myself what causes it and what to use to help it because it can be very painful and definitely disruptive.

Well this morning I finally didn't get woken up by the popping and noises and I didn't have it when I went to sleep last night. Only a little after taking the enema but it went away quickly. Maybe the increased prednisone is helping although no normal BM this morning yet. I guess I'll see how today goes. Maybe finally going back to the gym last night helped too? I have yoga tonight so will see if that helps.

I would also consider taking digestive enzymes when you eat. It seemed to help me while I was on pred and going through the same thing.
