This is the way majority of us understand and that is wrong. Have you done it anytime in your life? What is stretching in gym routine anyway? Try doing sun salutations and you know its not easy but that has been scientifically studied (don't have reference at hand but google is your friend). I tried doing it and your each and every muscle gets soar. I would have loved do continue it but my current status of health is not great.
Meditation, I tried and never worked with it. I could never attain what they call it as 'trans state'.
