hydro cort enemas... time for something stronger

So I am constantly let down by what appears to be remissions on the horizon...
Im still not wanting to take pred, but thinking that hyrdorcort enemas are perhaps the way.

Has anyone been substantially helped by these?

I think if your wanting to avoid pred that the hydrocort enemas are a good option and I would try them before pred myself. I've never used them but others here have with good results in getting rid of that last bit of blood.

I haven't used them but some have very successfully. I think it is worth trying before pred.

Yes I have used hycort and cortenemas and both have gotten me out of serious flares.  The mesalamine enemas did nothing or made things worse, but the others are definately worth a try.

I used them and then switched over to mesalamine enemas. Waited till my flare wasn't as bad. Had sort of the same side effects as pred when using for a while. Hate pred!!!!'
