After being out of remission for the last three months I was put on Remicade and predisone ! I have my third infusion end of Jan it's been around six weeks Remicade and predisone . With no relief in sight.
I have had UC around 15 years I guess
Went to the doctor today he wants to make sure he hasn't missed anything, so he set me up for a bunch of lab works on stool samples ,I guess I get to play in my poo! When does it end.
Anyhow he wants me to go to Shands Medical in Gainesville just in case he may have missed anything for a second opinion, which is a good thing.
My question is has anyone had anything done up in Shands?

Tuch! Maybe you should see a different GI in the same practice!

What got you into remission in the first place, and, did you continue taking meds even while in remission?

That's what he has me doing, it's another specialist like him, it's next to Shands hospital up there, not sure if its part of Shands or not. I go in the first week of Feb. They are mailing out the paper work to me today I guess. That should tell me a little bit more about the place.
