Had foot surgery yesterday...antibiotic question

I had my bunionectomy yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I have a screw in my foot to hold the bone but I don't know it's staying in or not...I can't see it because its wrapped up and my follow up is on Monday. But anyway, the doc put me on Keflex. It's been a long time since I've been on Keflex....but does anyone have any issues with this antibiotic? I ran out of probiotics and I mail order mine - Probio, so I was thinking of getting yogurt to help until my probiotics come in the mail.

Good to hear all went well. How long will you be on the Keflex?

I think it would be better than nothing, but make sure it's not got other stuff in it such as artificial sweetener, etc.

If yogurt agrees, go for it.

do your gut a favor and only get like dannon plain, all others with flavor have a lot of sugar and that you don't need. Sugar feeds yeast and it can get out of hand being on antibiotics. SO I would go plain greek or regular.

When I had my bunion done they did not give me any antibiotics. Glad to hear it was not too bad for you. I have screws too. They never took them out. I dont even know they are there. Good luck!

I'm not sure why I'm on Keflex (it's a 10 day course)....maybe because I just got my Remi?

Doesn't the plain yogurt taste like crap though?

We always buy plain yogurt and sweeten to taste with honey or real maple syrup.
Tastes great (IMO) and doesn't have SO much sugar as the fruity ones do.
