Colon Cancer like symptom, colonoscopy found nothing

I thought the colonoscopy would find something because I have frequent significant abdominal pain, colon feels full and long narrowish poop too for months and months. I also have significant weight loss. I even told the doctor to pay very close attention because I have colon cancer like symptoms. However the test found nothing. They just said my bowel was inflamed. I am not relaxed however. What are the chances that the colonoscopy failed to show my anything. Why do I keep having these symptoms that seem to be more typical of colon cancer? They also found I had lots of pseudopolyps, is that a concern? Should I be worried? Take another colonoscopy? I know with colon cancer early detection is the key and I want to relax but what if that costs my life by not doing anything? Or I am just seeing nightmares and if the colonoscopy found nothing I am good.

You should've got at least a diagnosis as to whether you have UC, Chrohns, IBS..what ever the cause of the inflammation.

If you had polyps removed, they will certainly test these for cancer. The results usually take a while to get back.

As hard as it is...try to relax. Maybe call the GI back and get a better idea of what's going on. Most likely you should be on meds for the inflammation.

I have had 15 years of ulcerative colitis. I found some meds that are in the process of working and he raised the dosage.

I personally think that when the colon is really inflamed the passageway gets narrower leading to long snake looking poops, as you describe. There is a good chance that the colonoscopy was accurate in regards to colon cancer, however, no test is 100% fool proof. Polyps can get cancerous and sometimes the process has already started microscopically before the colonoscopy can actually detect cancer. It is something you should keep an eye on but I have to say all of the things you say are symptoms of colon cancer are in effect also symptoms of UC.

I get really narrow poops with my UC. They arent super long though.
