OT - had my baby

The labor itself, the first 10.5 hours, were the easiest of my 3 labors. But the final 1.5 hours of very spaced out pushing contrax were way more painful, intense and just very different than my first 2. It was really hard. Good thing it wasn't my first birth, I don't know if I'd have had any more after that.
But all went well and I'm feeling fine (except for hemorrhoids which are really bad right now), didn't even tear.

Baby (girl!) is doing great and we're all in love. I didn't have any ultrasounds and really felt like I'd be having another boy, so I'm still a little shocked and she's wearing lots of hand me down blue clothes for now. :)

UC is doing fine so far, just these &@$! Hemmies kicking my butt right now. All my hemmie tricks aren't working yet so I'm looking for new things to try.

I seen the pic of your beautiful baby girl and she is so darn cute! Congrats to you all! What do your boys think?

I remember those post baby hemmies only too well! I felt like I had a basketball in there after I had my son. Sitz, sitz, and more sitz along with Tucks is what got me thru it. How's your UC doing?

To answer some questions, my UC is totally fine...yay!

I did stay on the e-cig through the pregnancy and my midwife was aware of that. The concerns with nicotine, which are not as bad as concerns with smoking, were slight increase in risk of preterm labor and a potential lower birth weight for baby. My issue at first was very slow weight gain and low appetite. I started out at 95lbs and it took several weeks to gain the first 5. Then I added wheat back into my diet (had only been off it for 6 weeks and no notable difference in UC) and was able to gain faster after that. I got up to 125 by the end and baby was a perfect weight.

And thanks for the link for the hemor-ice thing. I just discovered that last week and I'm totally getting one!
