I was diagnosed at 55. I'm 66 now. I feel younger and healthier than I did ten years ago, though.

     Symptoms of IBS since childhood but never diagnosed with it.  Finally diagnosed in 1985 at age 39 with IBS.  Diagnosed with IBD in 1998 at age 52.  Ran the gamut of meds, condition deteriorated and I had surgery at age 63 (almost 64) in June of 2010.  Now age 66 and feel better than ever!

     BTW....oldest daughter, age 40, was just diagnosed with IBS. sad

Diagnosed at 62 with severe UC, now 69.

Very sick for 9 months prior to dx. My primary MD kept saying it was hemorrhoids, Ha, now he believes everything I say.

Diagnosed UC (pancolitis) aged 22. Never had a dodgy tum previous to that - but Crohns is in the family! Aged 24 now; exactly two years later and still no sign of remission!

My flare began at age 41; diagnosed some months later at age 42 but I was already going into remission by that time. Now age 46, in remission.

Diagnosed at 30, am now 34.

I just realized I had my four year "anniversary" of having UC at the end of January and completely forgot! LOL!

Happy anniversary! ;) I was at my sickest at this time 6 years ago. Hard to believe Ive dealt with this that long.
