shakehead I have had severe pain all over my body. I have had x-rays, ultrasounds and blood tests done all came back as normal. I have severe pain mostly in my lower belly and all across my back. But I can have pain ANYWHERE and the dr's can't find anything wrong. I am now going to a Nerologists to have a few tests done on pain sensors. The doctors want to put me on Lyrica. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues like this or am I really crazy? Ease help?!

Could that be related to your Fibromyalgia?

The doctors thought that but usually fibro is the top muscle layers and it is not a sharp searing pain that comes in waves. My pain is like labour pains. It progressively gets worse and then goes away for a few minutes and then comes back in a new more painful wave of pain. I almost pass out because the pain is so intense. And it is always in the same place.

That is the pain I had when I was flaring badly. I think it was some kind of spasm. I thought I would black out sometimes! The only good thing is that I always knew it was short-lived, maybe 15 seconds at a time and then gone. But it wore me out.

I had pain like that all over last time i came off prednisone.

I don't have pain all over. My pain is in my left side from my waist to my pelvis. But they put me on Lyrica. It really helps. If I sleep too Latin the day and take t too late, I am in much more pain than usual. They also put me on Cymbalta to help with this. It is an anti depressant that has a side effect of helping with pain. Takes about a week to start working but also helps tremendously for pain. They did find out today that my pain is on a flare but they started those treatments because they thought my pain was from nerves. I have had no side effects from either drug. Fibromyalgia is my most accurate dx. The stomach stuff is all a symptom.. my biggest problem is that I hurt all over and everything kinda falls in line behind that on a continuum.

Have you been to a Rhematologist? I just went to one last week. He did ultrasound of my joints and muscles and was able to visualize the inflammation. He also located cysts in my muscles that nobody had before.. they could be signs of parasite or bacterial involvement. Since you are at neuro, ask them about a coinfection like Chlamydia Pneumonia or HHV6.. have they done a spinal tap on you yet?

Rhemy's are my favorite types of docs thus far.

No spinal tap so far. And I don't really want one!! They hurt a lot!! I haven't been to a Rhematologist yet. I have had all this pain since I was 16. But thought it was normal. My dentist told me it wasn't and said I should see my family dr.
The worst pain I have is in my stomach on the left side and into my back. Just like what Teddtlove has and it makes me pass out. I was rushed to the hospital on Thursday and they gave me hydromorphone which is like heroin. Not so much fun it didn't take the pain away but it calmed me down so I relaxed a bit.
Thanks for all the input you guys! It is nice to know that I am not crazy and the only one out there like this. My GI doctor says it is in my head and hat there is no reason for the pain. So thanks again. I will talk to my doctor about going on Lyrica.
