Hi everyone. I've finally got myself back into remission, and now I've got this horrible pain from my right side upper abdomen into my mid back and up through my neck, radiating through my ribs also, so that if I walk or cough I feel like my ribs will crack. It's hard to stand or sit up. Any ideas what this could be? Does this come along with uc too? I'm stuck in bed and I'm on vacation, this sucks :-(

Feels like my back is broken across my mid back, it's so weird, and even a deep breath is so painful

Aww hun.. that sounds like your liver, pancreas or gall bladder. Do you have a fever?

The pain you are describing sounds worthy of an emergency visit.

Great. No I don't have a fever. I was trying to spare my husband and I an ER visit during vacation, but this is really painful. Had it for a couple days last week and then it went away but started up again yesterday morning. Both times I had onions, which usually worsens my uc, but yesterday the onions were hidden in my food and I didn't know until it was too late. That's why I thought this may be uc connected. But I had kidney stones last year, so, hey, maybe now it's my gallbladder's turn. It's only fair I guess.

You'd best call your doc and get in asap....especially if you had issues in the past.

Thanks everyone! I didn't go in. I stood in a hot shower for about an hour, aiming the spray at my right side and then on my neck, shoulders and back, and then I took tons of Tylenol. Got rid of 80% of pain by last night, and by this morning I'm feeling good. We had show tickets for last night (in Vegas), and I've been so excited to see it, Le Reve. We are going home tomorrow, so I'll go to the dr for sure on Monday. That was horrible pain, up there with kidney stone pain. I hope this isn't something that will be chronic too. Thanks for the advice and your concern, guys :-)

Gallbladder is my bet.. worst pain ive ever felt in my life, right after a vacation filled with indulging.

glad you are feeling better.

I never had another attack, but I hit my gallbladder hard with cleansing.

Pathogenkiller, how did you cleanse? I've seen OTC products but haven't tried anything yet.
