Doing my prep for my scope tomorrow I hate this part. It's worse then the scope. Oh well, can't wait till tomorrow, just glad I have wipes and a loving wife and kids. Can't ask for more then that.

@Somedude- how the heck do you do a cscope prepless? You eat a clear liquid diet for days? I'd be invalided by severe hunger headaches if I tried that.
For me the prep (as well as the scooe itself, due to winderful narcotics) has never been that big a deal, other than getting weak and hungry and having a slightly sore rectum. The recovery from scores of bleeding biopsy "wounds" is what kills me, and usually leads to some flaring.

One would have to be pooping lots during the day previously to that...weird your doc would let you do that Dude.

Good luck!
I've done it prepless before but it was in the hospital and it isn't so bad. I had to go on a liquid diet for 12 hours prior to the procedure. The preps always make me bloated and feel worse than I do especially Movie!

Well, did my scope. Showed severe flare, and last scope in Sept 2011 GI thought it might be crohns, and yesterday it was confirmed. I'm kinda down about
it but nothing I can do about
it.

Well that stinks....are they going to switch your meds around? Is the inflammation strictly in the colon at the moment?

Well, I ain't exactly pooping once per day neither. Just don't eat for the whole day before the day of the colonscope. Drink lots of water and it should be ooook.
It won't be perfect but adequate. My GI complained to me a bit. She said, she had to clean a bit, but generally it was clean.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol

Sorry to read that your diagnosis got changed to Crohn's, no wonder you feel down. But if it's in the rectum, Cortifoam might help you. pb4 has Crohn's colitis & posts about
using it-- maybe she can advise you. Hang in there-- can't keep a good man down. / Old Hat (32 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
